CALEDONIA -- Organizers say an "Art With A Heart" project has swelled beyond what they hoped. And they can't wait until a culminating Friday night auction. Velda Rockel hosts the auction 6 to 8 p.m. at 90 Minute Nanny, 9365A Cherry Valley Ave. It honors Caledonia resident Sally Lake, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about four years ago. Lake has selected the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, or PANCAN, to receive all proceeds. Area students have donated more than 700 pieces of artwork. The live auction Friday will feature select pieces from each age group, with a silent auction continuing for two weeks. Details: 90 Minute Nanny
